Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) President Sardar Zafar Hussein Khan has welcomed the Lahore High Court decision to construct Kalabagh Dam (KBD). In a statement issued on Friday, he said that the decision is not only appreciable but historic. He appealed to the rulers and politicians not to prefer personal interests on national interests.

In his opinion the federal government and its allies are in a position to remove Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Sindh governments' reservations on construction of KBD. He said that the government should immediately bring this matter in to the Council of Common Interests (CCI) and not let this historic moment go waste. KBP President also appealed to all political parties and their leaders to express national solidarity in the larger national interest.
